Folks aren’t always keen on leaving reviews or ratings of my books, but I do hear back in other ways and I keep a document of these responses to dig up when I’m feeling blue. It occurred to me that other people might be wondering though so now there’s a page for it!

VERANTHEA CODEX & HYPERCORPS 2099

Unfortunately I didn’t have the good sense to ask Kickstarter backers for their opinions in the project surveys for these so the reviews for most Veranthea Codex and Hypercorps 2099 books are on the various websites (Paizo, DriveThruRPG, etc.). I do get some emails though! 😀

“My favorite of the kickstarter is Forever Dark because of how different some of the cultures & sites therein are. The Fleshmazes of Trectoyri are just dripping with flavor & lover the reference in the Shinning Molock cities. Based on an old ecology of article from Dragon magazine I have been using Mongrelpeople as humorous race. The ones from this book will give my players a surprise.

Speaking of the gods my second favorite book is Radical Pantheons because it has a fresh way at looking at the gods. I’m looting some of the nightmare gods as a new force entering the realm for my campaign. I love the fact that you include stuff like how to make weapons out of the Tek Tek in the lost legends book & the creatures in general feel like they are more than just stats.”

 

Now that you have Mists of Akuma, how do you like it? Solid mechanics? Feels evil in your hands? Players are loving the world or terrified of sitting on tsukumogami?

• It rocks. It has the complete opposite atmosphere of the default Fifth Edition D & D happy birds and singing elves heroic fantasy.
• It’s very cool! I hope to use many of the monsters in an upcoming game. Thanks for the cool setting!
